When I was younger, I had troubles with my tonsils. I was in and out of doctors offices, with my parents debating, between moves, if my tonsils should come out. My dad told me, every time, I saw someone come to me in a white coat, I would have a terrified look on my face. Thats fear. It associates with events or people that make you uncomfortable from repeated unhappy experiences. You want to avoid those places. The irony is that by exposing yourself to fear, it can be conquered or lessened. When you face what or who is uncomfortable to you, you often realize, what you are afraid of, is not as scary as you perceived it to be. You also learn that many good things will pass you by, if fear is your master. You can change. I can change. It may be too late for some things to happen where fear visited, but its never too late to change the direction away from fear as your master.
