When I went away (like 600 miles from home) to college, I was immediately homesick. I called my mom up after about two weeks and said I wanted to come home. I loved living here in Shasta County and had never really lived anywhere else since moving from Texas when I was very young. She encouraged me to stay a little longer and see if things would get better. Of course, she was right--shortly after, I had a girlfriend and I was on my own. But my connection with home continued as my mom wrote letters to me constantly. I still have some of them ever after all these years. The encouragement we get from letters (and now in email, text messages) is so important. Just look at the impact FB has made on our lives. We stay in touch instantly with those we care about and when there is no response to our message sent, we wonder why...it sort of makes us question what might be going on with our friend. Dont give me the Im busy and cant always answer right away--already had that sermon. This message is just some thoughts of my past and an encouragement to all of us...take a few seconds and reach out to those we care about--let them know were thinking about them and are interested in their well being. Enjoy this song and have a wonderful day ~peace youtu.be/IlAJAPl2RCk
