When I went in for my blood draw on Thursday morning (26 June) I - TopicsExpress

When I went in for my blood draw on Thursday morning (26 June) I was very weak. When my oncologist happened to stop by and greet me, he said that he wanted an additional test done so I could have a couple units of blood administered the next day. Consequently, I spent most of Friday in a private clinic room while they gave me the units of blood. It takes four to six hours to administer the two units. They checked on me every 30 to 45 minutes. I was so tired and weak that I slept between their visits. That evening I started to feel better. By Saturday morning, my leg and arm strength had increased considerably. What a difference the blood made! Thank you to all of you who donate blood. Today (Monday) Tom took me to UC-Davis Med Center where I met with two of the doctors from the infectious disease group. I was relieved when they told me that I may transfer back to the infectious disease specialist at my local hospital, David Grant Medical Center. They are pleased with my status right now. Thank you for all your words of comfort and encouragement and for your prayers.
