When I woke up this morning I knew right away it was going to be bad. Light headed, tired and I wanted to call in sick. I got dressed but had to take several breaks to lay back down because I felt so weak. I didnt get a lot of sleep because I was making a lot of trips to the bathroom (losing a lot of fluid). We left the apartment on time after our morning prayer. I usually head upstairs at the hospital to get signed in but I waited on Kim before going up to the 4th floor. My back was starting to hurt and Kim said she was going back to the apartment to get my pain pills. I felt bad because it is a pretty good trip to the apartment and back and I know she wasnt happy about it. While Kim was gone I got called and Dante was running me through my vitals. While standing he notice I didnt look good and made me sit down. I was starting to feel a little dizzy and my blood pressure was very low. I made it to my POD alright and was given 2 bags of fluid. Kim showed up with my pain pills and that brought relief to my back. Jeff stopped by to visit with us in our POD. Jeff has been battling this for 8 years so listening to his perspective is informative and humorous. Anytime I can listen to Jeff I soak up whatever he says. I just need to sit with him some day and talk about his journey. I still have a lot of questions about what is ahead of me. My taste buds are much better and my favorite foods sound good again but when I eat I cant eat much. I have lost almost 20 pounds so far this treatment. Our schedule makes it hard to eat multiple meals throughout the day. Hopefully when we get home I can start working on that. I will have to make another trip to Supplement U for more protein and eat all that beef that is in our freezer. Thank you so much Micha!!!
