When Jesus turns Matthew in to a disciple I think is my favorite part of the Bible. There was a crowd and Matthew was collecting taxes in the crowd was also a pharise. He then says, a tax collector and a pharise go to pray at the temple. The phrase looks to God and says thank you Lord for not making me like other meb who sin. But when the tax collector went to pray he could not even look to God. And at that moment both Jesus and Matthew say. But the tax collector said forgive me Lord for I am sinning. Then Jesus says God blessed the collector and not the pharise for God blesses those who dont praise themselves. Then Matthew becomes a follower. Im not very religious but I think that story has such a strong meaning.
