When Spencer and I got home from his chemo appt. yesterday, these kiddos were very excited to show me the surprises that Grandma Christiansen gave us. They were all decked out in Nativity dress ups that we can use in the years to come. They had a great day with her as she helped them with spelling and other school work, taught them piano lessons, and brought some of her delicious homemade pizza for them to enjoy for lunch. She is truly an angel to our family as she serves us continually out of love! My children are very blessed to have her as their grandma. Because Spencers blood count numbers were high enough yesterday, they upped the dose of one of his chemo meds. This could be extra challenging because it will likely increase his nausea. He has lost about 20 pounds since he started his treatments, mostly in the past couple of months. Because of his nausea, he doesnt want to eat much because most things dont sound good and he throws some of it up. Were going to try some calorie supplements and if that doesnt work, then we will try an appetite stimulant. Another growth bump in his journey.
