When Touchtune brand digital jukeboxes first started popping up in public places I had the time of my life. A lot of people, especially the older generation, had no idea that you could download an app onto your phone that would allow you to purchase song credits via credit card. Then you could wirelessly connect to any Touchtunes brand jukebox and play songs from their extensive database. From across the room! Some people still dont know this today. I, being the forward thinking guy that I am, scoured the database for the most situation inappropriate songs. Id make pairings. Purposely cringe worthy pairings and then...id sit back and wait..... Imagine a group of elderly folks pumping dollar bills into the jukebox looking for Happy Birthday when out of nowhere Dying Fetus starts playing. Dear old Ednas friends would never let her live that song choice down. Imagine a group of tattooed bikers playing Skynard songs when all of a sudden Celine Dion starts playing an entire album. Lets face it, Front Royal is full all kinds of people and theyre all there for my entertainment. Richard Cheese was one of my go-to guys for most situations. Its lounge music. Its subtle, yet vulgar lounge covers hold a special place in my heart because of this. Imagine a couple on their first date. The guy had just paid for dinner and they are having drinks at a quiet bar. Its Monday. The bartender lights a candle for them, turns the game off and then walks away. These two are connecting on a big level.....and then this song starts to play...
