"When Trayvon Martin was first shot, I said that this could have been my son. Another way of saying that is Trayvon Martin could have been me, 35 years ago." - POTUS Really?! And yet another way would be that Mr. Martin could have become president if he hadn’t been shot. That’s some pretty steep racism. Let’s check it out. I can relate to Martin because of our psychology on multiple levels, our feelings of entitlement and invincibility, our ‘children rule parents’ mentality, our imitation thug-life, our broken families, our suburban upbringing in a ‘multi-ethnic’ community, our overtly aggressive behavior, our violent tendencies, our disdain for any one person or group’s authority, our desire to act out and a general need to be perceived as a billy badass. POTUS identifies with him because of the color of his skin. He says it’s because of racial profiling. Buuuuuuullshiiiiiit. I was equally profiled when I dressed in wife-beaters and baggy pants back when I was 17, Some people may even remember me wearing a bathrobe and Bulliwinkle slippers around or maybe my camo pants, military boots and white T with my hair ‘spiked’ with Vaseline. I dressed that way to project an image of thugness and/or a general ‘I don’t give a f*’ attitude (I was oblivious to how stupid I looked). I had my faced smashed into a police car one night for looking like an a-hole and popping my mouth off to the cops in Dallas. I deserved every bit of it too. The cops didn’t care what color my skin was they cared that I looked like I didn’t respect rules, authority or basic decency and they were 100% accurate. How is it not racist to weigh the color of one’s skin heavier than absolutely every other commonality?
