When We Allow The Light Of Jesus To Illuminate Our Pathway The Eternal Wisdom Of God Will Guide Us Into Righteousness That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. (John 1:9) The Lord Is My Light - https://youtube/watch?v=ngaeszJvVuQ What a powerful message from the Lord. King Solomon in Prov. 8:22 – 31 establishes the fact that wisdom existed before this earth was created. You see my friend; God used wisdom during the creation of this earth and everything that exists in the Universe. When God called the celestial heavens with the Sun, Moon and Stars into being, by the breath of His voice they were placed in the correct positions. It was the wisdom of God that determined exactly where the Sun should be place so it provided the correct amount of light for planet earth. It was the wisdom of God which ensured that the moon was place in a specific position that it would control the waves of the sea. Through this positioning of the moon the waters of the oceans and sea are directed to a say in a specific position each day. It is the wisdom of God which designed the walls of our stomach to contain the correct PH level of hydrochloric acid to aid in the digestion of food. It is the wisdom of God that allows this deadly acid to be contained in our stomach and never to flow into any other part of our body. As God shares more information about this planet earth we discover more and more about the vastness of the wisdom of God. Our understanding of this earth is finite. But this is the not the case with God. God is the light of the world. If we want to gain a better understanding of the requirements for gaining eternal life we must consult with God. If we want to understand how to better take care of our body temple we must consult with God. God has the wisdom that we need to gain eternal life. Without the light of Jesus Christ, we cannot make it to heaven. If God, as creator, used wisdom to put the stars into place, how can we expect to live on this earth without wisdom? I pray that we each day will ask God to give us wisdom so that we can know how best to live our lives. Only those who surrender every area of their lives to the Holy Spirit can receive the wisdom required to walk along the pathway that leads to eternal life. Since God is the source of all true knowledge, it is, as we have seen, the first object of education to direct our minds to His own revelation of Himself. Adam and Eve received knowledge through direct communion with God; and they learned of Him through His works. All created things, in their original perfection, were an expression of the thought of God. To Adam and Eve nature was teeming with divine wisdom. But by transgression man was cut off from learning of God through direct communion and, to a great degree, through His works. The earth, marred and defiled by sin, reflects but dimly the Creators glory. It is true that His object lessons are not obliterated. Upon every page of the great volume of His created works may still be traced His handwriting. Nature still speaks of her Creator. Yet these revelations are partial and imperfect. And in our fallen state, with weakened powers and restricted vision, we are incapable of interpreting aright. We need the fuller revelation of Himself that God has given in His written word. (Education, pg. 16, 17 – Ellen G. White) Through Solomon Christ declared: The Lord possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old. . . . When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth: then I was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him. In speaking of His preexistence, Christ carries the mind back through dateless ages. He assures us that there never was a time when He was not in close fellowship with the eternal God. He to whose voice the Jews were then listening had been with God as one brought up with Him. Christs words were spoken with a quiet dignity and with an assurance and power that sent conviction to the hearts of the scribes and Pharisees. They felt the power of the message sent from heaven. God was knocking at the door of their hearts, entreating entrance. He was equal with God, infinite and omnipotent. . . . He is the eternal, self-existent Son (Lift Him Up, pg. 17 – Ellen G. White) The world was made by him, and without him was not anything made that was made. If Christ made all things, he existed before all things. The words spoken in regard to this are so decisive that no one need be left in doubt. Christ was God essentially, and in the highest sense. He was with God from all eternity, God over all, blessed forevermore. The Lord Jesus Christ, the divine Son of God, existed from eternity, a distinct person, yet one with the Father. He was the surpassing glory of heaven. He was the commander of the heavenly intelligences, and the adoring homage of the angels was received by him as his right. (Review and Herald, April 5, 1906 – Ellen G. White) Truth has power to make the sayings of Christ spirit and life. If cherished and respected, it will cause the man to turn from his evil ways. Truth and error cannot abide in the same heart. He that is not with me is against me, Christ declares, and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad (Matthew 12:30). Wisdom, intellect, power--these are not God. But God is the Author of all wisdom, all grace, all power. God gave Lucifer his power and wisdom, yet this intelligence was not God Himself. We are to know God as He is revealed in His marvelous works. Who by searching can find out God? This is not part of our work. . . . Gods character is expressed in the Ten Commandments. To know God as He is--this is the science of all goodness and truth and righteousness. We must obey every expression of His character as revealed in His law. (The Upward Look, pg. 347 – Ellen G. White)
