When a dream, an ideal that people are chasing after starts go awry, people scramble to grab a piece of it. This is exactly whats happening with MBBS in this country. Papers leaking out nights before the exams has become commonplace. I heard 4th years paper was being sold at a rate of 20,000. Private colleges, and govt. colleges keep popping up, and for the love of my life I dont understand why? And, when people become doctors they feel like its a dead end and hence become involved in petty politics (ala YDA) or unethical means of making money. The dream *must* come true under all circumstances. It has become an institutionalized way of thinking, ingrained in peoples psyche. The biggest loser is the profession itself, everyone wants to be a flippin doctor but no one is interested in letting the profession thrive. Whos got time for that, when you are busy scheming how to make some pennies? Please dont ever become a Doctor. :/
