When all utilities have their pros and cons of usage, the externalities (negative effects on health and environment) of using smartphones are not exceptions to that trade-off. However, in this fast moving digital age of the 21st century, smartphones usage is not going to go away as long as human species exist. That is the reality. Therefore, to combat the externalities of the smartphone usage (the six points in this article are among them) a new innovation of greener technology of making phone devices must come forward. That is why we need stricter regulation on the makers of smartphone devices to innovate and adapt greener technology to protect the clean air, good health, and the honey bees.
