When and how do you say no without feeling guilty? When someone - TopicsExpress

When and how do you say no without feeling guilty? When someone asks you to do something that is contrary to God’s Word and will for your life, say no. When someone asks you to do something that is beyond your ability to comprehend or to do, say no. When someone asks you to give him or her something you do not have and cannot get, say no. When someone gives you an assignment to do, and you already have a stack of incomplete tasks that are not just more important, but are higher in priority, say no. These are just a few examples, but you will know when to say no if you are more sensitive to God’s voice speaking to you than you are to people speaking to you or not because they are upset with you or are shocked because you said, “No.” While you are at home alone, look in the mirror and practice saying no in order to get comfortable with the sound of the word and the way your face looks when you say it. Say it with confidence and enough volume to convince yourself that you really mean it. Don’t allow others to make you feel guilty and don’t put a guilt trip on yourself. (Romans 8:1: “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.”) wisdomforwomenofworthandworship
