When comparing an atom bomb (nuclear fission) to a hydrogen bomb (nuclear fission+ nuclear fusion), forget the TNT tonage difference. I mean no one can tell the difference between 20K TNT and 500K of TNT. Because either way youre dead if either happens. Instead look at the difference in the physics and chemistry! An atomic bomb is like someone gathering all the TNT he can find and then setting it all off all at once (understatement). But the hydrogen bomb is like creating a mini Sun and then using all the TNT you stole from the other guy and using it to detonated your mini Sun. See the difference...
