When did the Egyptian people lose their humanity and compassion? What happened last night was by far the worst of a series of massacres since the 18th Jan 2011. What is most devastating is that there are still many Egyptians trying to find (lame) excuses for the shameful actions of the perpetrators, instead of calling for their apprehension, trial and punishment. One of the main hallmarks of a civilised society is the sanctity of human life - what ever the political persuasion, gender, wealth or religion. And the pinnacle of that is when this sanctity applied to your opponents as well as your supporters. May God help us become a better people.
