When do my tyres need changing?? PUNCTURES AND TYRE DAMAGE Tyres can cope with most things, but road damage and punctures may result in the need for replacement. Impact can cause casing damage which may result in rupture to the casing and blebs which may also result in blow outs..... so always get your tyres check after impact for safety. Punctures can be repaired if there is no resulting tyre wall damage and if it is safe to do so. Both for the sake of the environment and your pocket we will always repair a tyre if it is safe to do so. Once repaired the tyre can be used as new and the repair will be safe for the life of that tyre. Permanent repairs will only be carried out following the removal of the tyre from the wheel to allow a thorough inspection internally as well as externally to ensure there is no hidden damage to the tyre or the wheel Tyres can be seriously damaged upon impact with solid objects such as kerbs, potholes or sharp objects and it is most dangerous to ignore tyre damage. Cuts or swellings must always be inspected by an expert. Never use a tyre which has been runflat or run low on pressure unless it has first been inspected by a tyre professional.
