When ever one of the Muslim countries is attacked people feel it. Alhamdulillah over the years the sentiment has grown for unity and there is a greater recognition now that we are often victimised. In protest and to raise awareness many people take up flags as display pictures to show support. For over a 1000 years there was no need for outcrys. In times where internet and social media did not exist, armies were sent to protect the honour of a single woman. The empire spanned China-Spain and non-muslims preffered being ruled over by our laws even though they had the religious freedom to rule by their own. So what is different now? Why are we being slaughtered, why are rich and well equipped countries we supposedly share ties with silent? Why is money the means to a solution rather than military? We had no borders, countries or varying flags. We had 1 flag, the flag of Islam. The Arab flags that everyone loves to share are the reason we are divided today. The sentiment is pure (not doubting that)...just dont further support the individualistic nationalistic mentality that got us in this mess to begin with.
