When first visiting Stradbroke Island back in 2008, I would never dream that I would spend the next five years connected to the keepers of this paradise - the Quandamooka People. In 2009 Gabriela ( my editor, production assistant, and friend ......) and I had a film workshop where for a couple days the six graders from Dunwich Elementary School created a short film about their lives on the island. The end of our working days were embraced by the fading yellow rays .....such a great working environment brought many smiles.
