When i got Liesl as a puppy i asked my vet if i could take her out in the winter. I never had such a small dog before as i grew up with a German Shepherd. I live in NYC and we can get some pretty cold winters. He suggested anything below 30 degrees it is better to keep her in the house. She was trained on the wee wee pad thus this is no problem. I walk her every morning outside for the exercise and the exta added ( she does her business ) too. Being that she is so low to the ground I do not take her out in the rain because she gets completely dirty underneath. She weighs in at 12 1/2 pounds. She does have a couple of jackets which i use but just wondering if anyone in the group was told to keep the little doggies inside for winter.
