When i settle down i want a woman who understands my life aint easy...my goals aint easy...on top of being a black man in Jacksonville with dreads aint easy...you know how hard it is?...to be walking down the street and police flash that bright light in your eyes....stereotypical of you....you know how frustrating it is that white folk struggle to look you in the eyes on Job interviews....simply because they tune in to News4JAX.........it can be frustrating enduring racism and prejudice among ignorant people...having to smile for them to ease up and get a little comfortable around you? ....knowing deep on the inside you saying to yourself...you dont know my story........all I want to be is a movie director.....white people need to understand.... Im not here to steal your purse...Im not here to yell at you or act belligerent like a lot of nigguz in this city.....Im not gonna curse you out for a reason so inane.... I wanna be happy and make an honest living like you. I want to wife somebody up one day and have meaningful things like a family... A legacy....a body of work...I want to inspire people.. Not hurt people... I love peace...and hate EXTRA shit that dont need to be in my life...I may ask a million questions until trust is instilled because of what I been through.....true enough I had a hard life growing up...but Im not letting my past win......my life is already extra simply because of how I look to society..Im a target simply off the image basic nigguz promote for people of my skin tone...the darker you are..the more EXTRA things you have to do to prove yourself....... Im a man with dignity..and pride...and if you knew what all I had to endure you would think twice before you crucify me....I love.... I hurt....I try. Im not perfect... But Im still learning from my mistakes....society barley gives me a chance...so please understand why I want peace and nothing EXTRA to worry about when it comes to putting my trust in you...Im not the same person I use to be when it comes to the ways of the heart. Women of color please notice when you got somebody who trying....against all odds. -Mr. Jackson.....Keep pushing.
