When i was growing up, my Kasitit village was endowed with Chepkeltin, siroon, Komuin, Kiplekoi,Kweles akot cherelein. Over the wknds, we cud go hunt these animals both for fun & meat. The animals decreased in number while the human population increased as climate changed for the worse. I took my 2 & 1/2 yr gal 2te village for2wks bt she cud nt see any of these wild animals. She will only read them in the books. Now, as i sent my condolences 2te family of Atiar, my plea is that we try to preserve our heritage for identity and future generations.
