When is being too flexible working against you, or at least causing you to work harder and smarter with what youve got, in order to avoid pain or injury? Hypermobility, aka hyperflexibility, can be tricky to rein in, as well as making it more challenging to build strong muscles and joints, without overdoing it and having your efforts backfire. Have you ever suspected that you have this condition? It is fairly common and found in varying degrees. And there is seemingly a link between hypermobility and fibromyalgia. Makes sense. Take the Beighton Test to determine if you have any degree of hypermobility that challenges with your fitness goals, comfort or safety. I am unaware of what therapies are offered in the traditional medical arena as treatment for hypermobility, if any, but I do know that there are ways of working with it and still training people with T-Tapp muscle activation. As I said, it is tricky, but it can be done. So, dont give up and dont give in to a sedintary lifestyle due to this condition.
