When it comes to Remembrance Day/Sunday and the 2 minute silence, - TopicsExpress

When it comes to Remembrance Day/Sunday and the 2 minute silence, Ive always understood the significance of the ceremony and for the last 2 years, I have been working during the silence. Personally, I fully respect people who choose to honour the 2 minute silence, yet I prefer to revere the dead in my own manner; through celebration of what they achieved in life. Silent reverence for the dead has never felt right for me. I prefer to be a little more Viking about it and to cheer, drink and sing for those who have passed, be they soldiers who have fought and died for what they believe in, or even for someone who led a humble life right to the end. War is a terrible thing, and those who dedicate themselves to bringing the conflict to an end are all heroes in their own individual ways; whether they are on the wrong side of heaven, or the righteous side of hell. https://youtube/watch?v=o_l4Ab5FRwM
