When loved ones pass away, there are usually visitors, flowers, plants, cards, meals, and lots of hugs and prayers. Let me know if there is anything I can do. But then there is business to take care of. The paperwork of someones life. The details of their earthly possessions. Then there is ordering the headstone for the grave marker that will forever be a hard reminder. After all of those things are over, there is the unbearable realization that the love one is not returning. Everyday is different. Every holiday is different. Every single small thing in a day is reminiscent of the person gone. Grief comes out of your body and physically hurts. You try to resume your life but your life doesnt resume as it did. People around you seem to think that you are fine and really feel you should be. If you dont appear to have hit the reset button on your personality, something is wrong. Well, the emotions are raw and things will never be the same. I hope everyone who reads this post will think about the people they visited while the newness of their loss was there and remember the people that are left are still hurting and will hurt forever. The pain is still so fresh and will be for a very long time. Maybe too deep for FB but clearly on my heart today.
