When my dad took his life 2 years ago most people were kind and compassionate, but theres always that genius in the bunch who has to share their opinion on where he wound up, what his problem was, how hell suffer for eternity, how void of faith he was, blah blah blah... Those judgments are not helpful, nor do I share their belief in that type of God whatsoever. Depression narrows your perspective in such a way that you believe that no one can possibly understand; it’s alienating, self loathing, terrifying, and often beyond a person’s control. I believe in the Christian values of loving one another, letting God be the judge, and we’re all in this together.
