When my daughter was a toddler she started every day with a smile - TopicsExpress

When my daughter was a toddler she started every day with a smile and an exclamation of, its a very sunny day! Same excitement, same phrase every day, even when it wasnt sunny. Then one morning we had to awaken her at 3 AM so that we could catch a flight to England to visit her fathers family. Disoriented and confused, she woke up startled, looked out the window at the dark night, furrowed her brow and cried, its NOT a very sunny day! Her father and I realized that to her, a very sunny day meant new daylight, and new wonder and enthusiasm, not actual sunshine. I want to be more of the person who, with childlike innocence, believes the dawn of each day is always a very sunny day. This is what my fortnightofdaybreaks photos are about - greeting new days with figurative sunshine. I am not really the sunny social media persona you often see on Facebook. I dont think any of us are. But we can always start each new dawn with a very sunny day.
