When our governments frown on us for trying to prevent poverty, you know something is wrong. When we are encouraged to judge and condemn others instead of listen and be compassionate, something is wrong. When we are encouraged to strive be simply a have instead of a have not something is wrong. We are all more than commodities and have greater value than the market place dictates. There is enough to go around, the sense of lack is being created by self serving entities, government and corporations. We just have to remember the generosity and compassion that traditional cultures around the world practiced and some still do today, and work at an individual and community level to bring that back.
