When people ask about what brought me where I am today, he is a part of the answer. I could tell: I met a guy, got married and settled down. . But then people ask: Where did you two meet? Or: How long have you two been together? Some might even think i marry this person for a GREEN CARD. So many people immediately jump to that conclusion. I find it offensive,It really bothers me because I feel like they are doubting my integrity. I feel like they are questioning my honesty...Its a shame that people make you feel like you have to alter your story.! People dont understand what a hassle it is and what emotional effort it takes to be away from your home and comfort zone,They dont think about everything we left behind. Maybe they think it was easy, because we chose to do so, but choices can be extremely difficult. Everything is new - customs, traditions, foods etc. why do people think we come here and get married to stay here to have a better life ? Lol I cant really wait to move back in the PI (aftr 10 yrs) to have a happy peaceful life! Lol
