When people partner with coaches or trainers and then do their own - TopicsExpress

When people partner with coaches or trainers and then do their own thing, I always wonder WHY they spent the money in the first place. They must not have really wanted it bad enough. In my training & coaching, I spell out what to do- Yet I find people who try and reinvent the wheel. Who try and cut corners and do it their way and then have no luck. I was reminded by this when Rich and I were talking about someone he used to know and how she would see dietician after dietician and then get a set eating plan and by the time she got home would alter the plan to fit more of what she wanted instead of what was required for her weight loss. Time after time, she failed to lose weight. People take this approach in business also. They join a mentor, only take half of the suggestions, or dont fully master each one before moving on- and then sit there and scratch their head and wonder why it didnt work. We all have egos, and we all think that joining network marketing- you can fire your boss and do what you want but its work just like any other industry- dependent on specific formulas of success. Those who succeed in this industry follow the guidance of those who have succeeded before them. If you think this means selling yourself out or not being true to who you are (by not posting certain things) then, maybe you ought to rethink if network marketing is right for you. Its a game. You must learn the rules. Play it right. Do it your way and you will fail. There is no re-inventing the wheel. There is only finding these truths and following it. When we say you must be coachable we are being serious. That is the only way to succeed. Keep doing it your way and you will be in the exact same spot youre in now, for years to come
