When someone comes to you in private, to address obvious error, this should show the heart, because they could just put you on blast WITHOUT coming to you...FIRST! However when one rejects that correction without even trying to reason, what you are saying is, you cant correct me Many feel that because they have a title and the one bringing correction doesnt advertise a title, that person is a lay person and cant rebuke a leader (where is that in scripture) But anyway, we all have the responsibility to protect one another from wolves who blatantly teach error for both money and control. There is a saying of, you forced my hand and there are times that we are forced to bring to the attention of those being misled, that they are being misled. Humility is an attribute of Christ and arrogance and pride are attributes of satan. So the latter will cause one to shut correction down! Just because 500 people agree with your error, doesnt negate the error! They are in error too! Paul said, Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but instead even expose them One last thing, when a child has dirt, food, or sticky candy on their hands, you will say, dont touch me, I dont want that on me!! Use that same thought process when saying Amen to deceit, because you are partaking in the deceit and YOUR hand are just as dirty! Stop playing in the dirt with folks!!!
