When someone is condescending, rude, and otherwise nasty to you, sometimes the best response is no response at all. Thankfully, Ive cultivated enough self-control not to respond in the same spirit thats attacking me. Its easier when its a stranger, admittedly, than when its someone you deal with day in and day out. But its always better to move in the opposite spirit of the spirit thats attacking you. And if you cant move in the opposite spirit in that moment, keep your mouth tightly shut until you can. Often, the one coming against you will wind up repenting before you ever have to say a word.
