When someone takes their bad mood out on you, when you have done - TopicsExpress

When someone takes their bad mood out on you, when you have done nothing to deserve it, it is selfish and self centered on their part. And then they want to tell you that they are sorry. My question is why say sorry when the reality is that you know that it is going to happen again. Nothing has changed so why would this one sorry in this situation merit an acceptance on my part when I know that it is just a word to appease me momentarily. So, I guess maybe something has changed, my willingness to accept false platitudes. And I am less angry at the person that created this situation and more angry at myself for letting it ruin my whole night. I am sure that after they said that they were sorry, that they gave it little to no thought afterwards. I am the one that fed it all of its energy. I have always been the one to let things go in order to retain harmony in a relationship but that has led to bad patterns. People then think that they can treat you however they want to at the moment, say sorry and then everything is ok. Well, stick a fork in me because I am done. It is not ok to hurt my feelings just because you can and sorry is just a word unless the behavior changes.
