When talking about the referendum I like to stay on point, but - TopicsExpress

When talking about the referendum I like to stay on point, but then a Yes supporter called me a Quisling. I didnt know what the word meant so I looked it up. The word originates from a man named Vidkun Quisling. He was a minister in the Norwegian government during the second world war. He colluded with Nazi intelligence officers to ensure that Norway would be successfully invaded, and in turn he was appointed as prime minister of Norway by Hitler himself. After the war, he was found guilty of murder, embezzlement, and conspiring with Hitler. He was executed by firing squad. Today the word quisling is synonymous with the word traitor. If you vote No you are not a quisling, nor a traitor, neither are you conspiring with enemy forces. What youve done is vote No. Perspective is a wonderful thing, and I hope you hold on to it.
