When the film quadrophenia came out a lot of muppets turned mod, around the same time mediocre bands like the secret affair & the mertain parkas surfaced.. So they started attacking punks in town, it was a nightmare & i could tell you a lot of stories about that but ill stick with just this one. One of those punk concerts with several bands was on in glasgow at night, i was hanging about during the day as usual & mods were gathering near the venue, there was hardly any other punks about.. As i spoke to a couple of guys i spotted wattie making his way to the side entrance of the concert hall, i suggested we approach him as he sings about doing in mods, ask him to lead us into battle against the mod mob nearby. So i did & he couldnt get away fast enough.. ( maybe he thought i was a nutter.. Who knows..). Some more punks had turned up by this point so i tried to encourage them to stick up for themselves by leading the fight. I jumped over a small wooden fence, my bondage trousers split at the ass, i charged at the mods as they charged at me.. They all moved out of my way & it was then i discovered that i was the only one mad enough to fight em.. Lucky for me they bolted into the distance.. Hehe. Anyhoo..
