When the great churches of the inner-city were built, America was - TopicsExpress

When the great churches of the inner-city were built, America was a different place. People shared their faith on street corners, in the marketplace, and at their jobs, no matter where they were. These once great buildings reflected that, and drew the people that entered closer to God by sharing those thoughts in brick, murals and stained glass. Today they are dying, because Americas faith is dying. Blame it on the loss of parishioners to the suburbs if you wish, but how large are those suburban congregations today? These buildings welcomed 2-3k people on Sundays. They, like the buildings, are gone- dead. Ill be buying this new book on Dec. 7th. Then, Ill weep.
