When the idea of starting a new diet comes up inevitably its - TopicsExpress

When the idea of starting a new diet comes up inevitably its always going to get started either on Monday or after your holidays, right? I usually consider this a royal crock and the generally speaking nothing more than an excuse to over-indulge. While I am not a supporter of one specific diet I often promote the basic foundations of both Clean Eating and the Paleo Diet. There are very few foods I say you should NEVER have, although there definitely are some. The one thing I do promote and tell absolutely EVERYONE is to become highly conscious about their sugar intake. Sugar is hidden in so many foods; reducing packaged and processed food is very helpful in reducing your daily amount of sugar. For women we really shouldnt have more than about 24 grams per day. A sugar detox diet is one of the toughest for most people and it takes both planning and preparation, not to mention extreme commitment & discipline. I would like to personally use the balance of May to gradually begin cutting back to get myself ready for a 30 day sugar detox in June. Going cold turkey with sugar removal can be pretty intense and it takes time to wrap your head around for most of us. For the next 7 days I am going to track my food with specific attention paid to daily grams of sugar, find some fresh new recipe ideas, as well as get my kitchen ready. I would like to issue a 30 Day Sugar Detox Challenge to anyone who feels like it could benefit them or their families. We can be a daily support network and help each other out along the way! Who wants join my ALREADY SWEET ENOUGH challenge?
