When the state of the union is judged, what is it based on? Is it - TopicsExpress

When the state of the union is judged, what is it based on? Is it judged by the richest 5%, who no matter what they do, will have a backup in the way of bailouts ( tax money)? Is it judged by the state of ceos of companies whose main job is to build themselves as well as the previously mentioned group as much wealth as they can, while spreading it as thin in the lower tiers as possible. Maybe its judged by the middle of the road, middle class who are lead to believe they are living the American dream, but are mostly appreciated and noticed when they need to raise taxes because there were bad decisions in the other 2 tiers. Then theres the lower class, many of whom have given up on the American dream. Some struggle to make it by and are doing the best they can with little or no help. Some are offered help, but seem to be there by choice. I suppose the state of the union is judged by whether or not the richest 5% are still comfortable, but every class has allowed this to become the way its judged. I shouldnt be surprised because I think the real American dream ended when people from a foreign land set foot on Plymouth rock. Since then it has become less about a land that can take care of its people and more about who can steal, and profit from that land. Sometimes dreams end, and were the nightmare that ended them.
