When tourism in Mombasa is doing well, we get long queues of trucks delivering fresh produce at Kongowea as early as 10pm for the next day. We hardly see them these days yet we are meant to be in a busy August period. When our own from Nbi are now asking us Is it safe to visit Msa? Then that worries me a great deal. My fellow Kenyans Mombasa is safe , many of us reside here , we sleep & wake up in Msa. Our kids go to school in Mombasa. We are certainly not a war zone . Please dont fear , come visit us and fill up the hotels. Before we ask others to come , our own must show the confidence with destination Mombasa. We have just hosted all the secondary schools in Kenya music festival. If we can safely host all these kids then Msa is safe. When you keep the hotels busy those trucks will once again form the queue delivering potatos from Meru, tomatoes from Kinangop & Loitokitok and many others will benefit. Tour vans will start moving , demand for fuel goes up, the multiplier effect is huge. Keep Calm Visit Mombasa & Kenya coast.
