When was the last time an elected PM gave an ex-tempore speech without referring to a scrap of paper even once? When was the last time a PM dared to address the nation without hiding behind a bulletproof screen? When was the last time a PM had the humility to call himself a Pradhan Sevak? When was the last time a PM spoke about HIS responsibility to the nation? When was the last time a PM spoke about issues that REALLY haunt the nation, like the increasing incidents of rape, the importance of toilets and sanitation, the importance of building India as a manufacturing sector hub, rather than just a service hub? When was the last time you felt, really felt, that the nation was in good hands? When was the last time you actually LISTENED to an independence day address with rapt attention?
