When was the last time you got into a confrontation with someone :/ As embarrassed as I am for her, I was involved in a scuffle today not because I wanted to be, I would have much preferred not to accept the invitation, but it was in my own home and I was alone ....and it took all I had to maintain my cool because this person was literally within 5 inches of my face, yelling insults and profanities at me and actually shoved me. I fought real hard to hold back and I did...All I kept thinking was I have an example to set for my son and here at the building, I am a grown woman and a sensible one at that ....for the most part, anyway :D In my 46 years of living Ive managed to stay out of a cop car and I wasnt about to let that change now! Having been a superintendent with my hubby for over 12 years has been a joy, we love our job, our home and the residents that we share our home with, in the building, but as they say it only takes one and this one was here for just a short time because I sensed she was someone I should observe and my gut was right all along. Weve become quite protective of the building we live in and have the utmost respect and appreciation for the owners who have been fair and very good with us, too. We live in a very small building where safety comes first for our children and for all of the residence. I had to have a few chats with this particular resident on a few occasions because of different issues and today she tried pushing my buttons before she vacated and I made sure the only button she would push was the ground floor button in the elevator on her way out. If you cant reason with someone sensibly there is no point in trying to reason, period. You can avoid situations and confrontations, but sometimes they find you and seek you out. Be strong, know your worth and hold your head up high, always. Theres bound to be one here and there and that one isnt worth your time and energy, save it for the many that deserve your best!
