When we allow others to gag Jesus... We live in a world where the minority would have us think that Christianity is dead and/or dieing, the vocal minority of Atheists and Agnostics, so called Progressive Thinkers, control the media and most of the television outlets and are using these mediums to try and shape society to a reality of their misguided thinking on the subject of faith and religion. Atheist groups are attempting to change public life by suing communities that dare to profess faith in Jesus, maligning the constitutional definition of the separation of Church and State in order to use the courts as a means of silencing the faith community. Schools of learning are banning Christian ideals and thinking, and punishing those that will not conform to their idea of a world that no longer needs God. This should be alarming to Christians, who need to be as vocal, not in anger but in solidarity. The message being propagated on the younger generations is a lie, the truth is that Christianity is growing at a phenomenal rate worldwide. According to missiologist Ralph Winter, only 1% of the world’s population had a personal relationship with Jesus Christ in 1430. Today, there are some 680 million evangelical Christians (11.1% of the world’s population) who started following Christ after a personal conversion. The rate of increase is around 7% per year, compared with around 2.6% for Islam. Those who do not love Jesus are doing all they can to change this trend, making the profession of ones faith proof of ignorance in reality, a mental illness in line with delusional thinking and hate toward our fellow man, but we who know Jesus know that faith is anything but delusional, it is the only truth that can set us free and create a better, safer and more productive society. . In 1963, School supported Prayer was taken out of Public Schools, banned through the court system in a the Engel v. Vitale decision of the U.S. Supreme Court in 1962. Since then, Teen pregnancies have risen by 187%, Pregnancy among girls 10-14 years of age rose by 553%. STDs rose by 226% in the 12 years following the decision. Before 1963 divorce rates had been declining for 15 years. After 1963 divorces increased 300% each year for the next 15 years, unmarried people living together is up 353%, single parent families are up 140%, single parent families with children are up 160%, SAT scores have plummeted in the Public School, Violent Crime has increased by 544% and over 30 million babies have been aborted as inconvenient consequences of a promiscuous lifestyle. (inplainsite.org) ...So Christianity, those professing to follow Christ, has risen dramatically and steadily since 1430, yet minority opinion has been allowed to control the message in our current generation, what is wrong with this picture? When the non-believing minority controls and silences 85% of the U.S. population that identify themselves as Christians (George Barna Research), we are obviously doing something wrong!!! Maybe it is time to start standing up, speaking out, being publicly faithful, and start teaching our kids about faith more consistently in our homes, encouraging them to be proud of their faith, letting them know they that they are free to express their faith with pride? The court only took away the schools ability to promote prayer, our kids still have the right to pray, and we should model it in our homes, carry it into our communities, and let our Lord know we love Him more than the politically correct opinion of the minority that is being shoved down our throats. Be kind, but be bold; Be courteous, but not timid...And acknowledge Him to the world, statistics prove that His way works, and their way is catastrophic to our daily lives and our communities!!!
