When we call us a family its because time and time again we prove it, Our Head Coach has had a Stroke but as Susan lets us know he is doing well now. Please pass on your prayers for Coach Brad a speedy and healthy recovery and back on the Deck soon. Carlton Sapp This post comes from Susan Molina, Hey everyone, Brad is ready for me to share with all of you that he suffered a stroke on Friday morning. He is recovering nicely in the ICU at Mercy San Juan hospital. Through a battery of tests, they have been unable to determine the cause other then finding a tiny hole in his heart that one in four people have. This could have thrown a clot but is very unlikely. He is a very healthy person with great blood pressure, cholesterol etc. it is a mystery to the doctors. On Friday his speech was severely altered and had no use of his left leg and little use of his left arm. He was diagnosed with a right brain stroke. As of today Sunday his speech is almost back to normal and he is walking on his leg and moving his arm with a little prompting. The doctors have reason to believe he will recover completely with just some weakness on the left when he is tired for a year or so. He will hopefully go home tomorrow. He will have physical therapy two times a week for a while. He will be on cholesterol meds and aspirin for the rest of his life. No talk of permanent blood thinners yet but he is getting a shot for that in his tummy every eight hours right now. That is all the news i have for now. Keep him in your thoughts. He truly is doing well.
