When we drive from one destination to the next, we usually get an idea of where we are going prior to the journey. Even when we are not sure of the route we should take, we depend on our Global Positioning System (GPS), or someone knowledgeable of the route, to navigate us through the journey. It’s amazing that when we are given directions by a GPS on how to get to a destination, we follow it carefully to make sure we arrive. We follow each detail of instruction because we want to arrive timely and we surely do not want to take a wrong route, which could lead us to unfamiliar territory. Why is that when it comes to our spiritual journey, we often take the opposite route? When God says go forward, we go backwards. When He says stop, we go. When He leads us to the right, we go left. When He says do not pursue a bad relationship, we speed ahead. When He says do not sow into an area, we plant deep. Let’s ask for forgiveness for the times we consciously did the opposite of God’s direction. Let’s ask Him to lead us in following Him in faith not flesh. Let’s pray for a zeal for His destination, not our alternate routes. God’s Positioning System will never lead us wrong. Reroute, through Him. -Kaylin-
