When we made the (agonizing) decision to take our house off the market and stay in Bakersfield, we promised ourselves some major home health improvements. They are finally starting to fall into place. We now have a serious, whole house, electrostatic air filter, and this week Econo Air, Inc. will install a sealed, gas fireplace insert to replace the fireplace we loved but could never use due to the no-burn policies locally. A whole-house water filter is scheduled in a week or so. GK is picking out the dozen+ trees for his do-it-yourself backyard pine forest. Of course, we may not be able to leave the house again.
