When we pray, we pray on the same basis and with the same rights as Paul, John, James and Peter. We rank equal with the greatest saints. The promises to them are the promises to us. They prayed the same Lord’s Prayer as we pray. We have the same privileges as they had. God has no favorites except we are ALL His favorites. They had the same key to the door as we have – the name of Jesus. We come to the front door and walk in, without knocking, without a receptionist to announce us. We do not need angels or saints to usher us into God’s presence. We are sons and heirs – we have complete freedom of access into our Father’s house. That is a very good reason indeed for praying.
