When we put the car back together I put link back in it in hopes - TopicsExpress

When we put the car back together I put link back in it in hopes of running a few passes with it before putting the Motec in. But after putting on the drysump I seem to have ran into an issue. The drysump is driven my the intake cam, I set the timing and we made a pull on the dyno previous to the new motor. Keep in mind the only changes we had made at this point was the header and drysump, including switching to a 2G engine mount that includes the tbelt idler. Car wanted 8-10* more advance than normal to make the same power. After having a motor issue, now I have a fresh motor in the car. Made a pull on the dyno on spring pressure and its down 80hp again with normal timing. Timing mark is so low on the plug you cant even see it, obviously it needs timing. So today I lock the timing at 5* and free rev the engine, to my surprise by 5k rpm it has gone from 5* to -5*. I find it hard to believe the belt could stretch from the extra load but its now obvious something is going on. With the Motec I can compensate for it but with link other than building a map including increased timing I am at a loss. If there is something else that could be causing it I am open for discussion but this is new to me. Anyone got any ideas?
