When we read about the tornados and storms in the midwest, volcanos errupting in Sicily, train wrecks killing 24 people, miners trapped then whatever is going on in my world is so small compared to the suffering so many are going through. Lord help those in the midwest, those in Sicily and the families who have lost family members in that tragic train wreck. Forgive me for my self centerness when so many are in pain. I pray for those suffering from cancer and other illness. I pray that all know you as their personal savior. That no matter what we may be going through in our lives that you have a perfect plan for us. Help us to feel your spirit with us at each moment as we walk the roads of dispair. Help us to know that no matter what we are never alone. Give comfort to those in need and shower them with blessings from up above. I know you are there God and I trust in your wisdom always. Have mercy on us Lord for we are only humans living in an imperfect world. Amen.
