When we see posts for 5 inches in the town we live and there is only 2 inches, or people all from the same town posting 1-6 inch snowfall accumulations,I think maybe its a good time to share this information on the proper way to measure snow. Keep in mind we take all of your observations, and at times use them to keep the forecast as up to date as possible. Have been spending a lot of time skimming over inaccurate observations that can make conditions that people may have to travel through look worse or better than they actually are. Please only post measurements that you have actually confirmed (not from the living room, based on how much of the yard gnome is showing.)
