When we went to the Bristol Seed Fair earlier this year we met Mark Diacono for the first time. He gave a talk on unusual edibles, of which he grows many at Otter Farm, his small holding in Devon. I was really excited to meet him, as I had read he had Pecan trees there, and I really miss Pecan Pie! Recently Claire wrote a post on Fox and Monkey about values, spending and supporting local which was about really putting your money where your mouth is, especially regarding animal welfare and holiday shopping. I followed that with a post on some great gift ideas that are in line with those values.
