When we were faced at the last general election with a hung - TopicsExpress

When we were faced at the last general election with a hung parliment unless we or the partys involved formed a coalition, I thought well maybe its not so bad to have a bit of a mix, some new ideas from the LibDems whos chances of getting into to power were negligible. There was a chance of refreshment....it hasnt turned out that way........instead what we have are a couple of losers whose self absorption has lead to one of them allowing a referendum for part of the country to snap off and go their own way.....If it happens, the British/English (there will be no British if Scotland votes yes!) will look so weak in the eyes of the world that you just know even the vestiges of the glory days, which the British hang onto for dear life, started by Elizabeth I are over. But has anyone before this week stopped to think about the effects to Scotland and the fact we will have a fledgling nation right on our doorstep, who will cease to have an Airforce, Navy, and I am assuming they will take the Scottish regiments, so they will have a VERY small army. They are sitting ducks!! Apart from that, as if that is not bad enough, they will lose the English military bases so zero protection for their fishing or against invasion and a lot of corporations have indicated they will pull the plug as well......what about the NHS? Alex Salmond is convinced that the English will take the old BWANA attitude and allow Scotland to keep the pound, the Queen and various other bits and pieces they now enjoy....but history has shown that when the English are crossed they close the door and walk away.....ask India....and a multitude of black countries that won independence,,,,,and there was zero handover. Ask the Afrikaner what happens when you want to retain your place in the Commonwealth, but you have gone and created a republic and given the age old English class system a name like Apartheid But, what worries me the most is the timing of this, just a couple of weeks ago we had Westminster MPs running around panicking about Jihadis, launching new Aircraft carriers and whipping through a communication bill whereby we basically lost our rights to privacy......There is a threat out there, a threat I dont know if Scotland can cope with on their own..... Watch this space, if there is a Yes vote in Scotland next week, this will have far reaching repercussions, very far reaching......
