When we were little, most of us were raised on Campbells soups. They were the main sponsor for the Lassie show, if I remember right. The two cherubic Campbell twins. It was fast, easy, nutritious, and even the most finicky eaters would like one of the many varieties. Most of us ate ABC vegetable as our first real food. On a cold winter day, whats better than Campbells tomato soup, thinned with a little milk, alongside a grill cheese sandwich? Still one of my favorites. When you had the sniffles, I bet your mom gave you Chicken Noodle. Our pantry ALWAYS has a dozen or so different soups in it. Cream of Mushroom, Cream of Chicken, the main ingredient in so many recipes. Ive tried their Chunky varieties, and even the Homestyle line. Theyre all good. But I still go back to that little red and white can with the gold emblem. Theyve been cranking out the same quality soups , that havent changed, since before I was born. Its nice to know there are still some things out there that are consistent the way you always remember them. My personal favorite? Bean With Bacon. Whats yours?
